Promoting Your Event Guide

  1. Create your AUDIENCE (make a list of individuals - family, friends, colleagues and a list of groups – church, social activities, community)

  2. Create your JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/lwpt and add the web page link to all your marketing communications

  3. Fill out your POSTER with key details, including your phone number and email to collect R.S.V.P.s. Photocopy your poster and place them (with permission) around your church and community buildings.


TIP – supermarkets often have free noticeboards for local events

4. Write your EMAIL invitation to individuals. Add the email
header graphic. Send.

        
TIP – always send group emails BCC to avoid sharing contact details

     5. Post your event on Facebook, Instagram and your other
social media channels using the social media squares.


TIP limit your posts visibility to your contacts to avoid unexpected guests

6. Collect RSVPs to keep track of likely attendees

7.  Send reminder emails to people you have yet to reply

8.  Send confirmatory emails to those who will attend and ask
for food donations

On the day…

1.        Download and print off BUNTING and make into strings

2.        Download and print off CAKE FLAGS and sick to cocktail
sticks and add prices

3.        Download and print off BUCKET BRANDING and stick
to the front of a collection vessel

4.        Print off a few LWPT leaflets for people who want to
know more about LWPT’s mission and work

10.   Get together any materials needed for extra activities
e.g. raffle, bingo, tombola
